RIT Machine Shop
Employed from 2017-2022
Eager to learn more machining processes, I walked into the machine shop on my first day of RIT to see if I could get a job. After some talking with the lab manager Steve Kosciol, I started that next Monday as a lab tech. Since then, I have worked in the machine shop every semester I have been at RIT learning as much as I can. In the Fall of 2020, I started teaching MFET-105, the machining 101 class with adjunct professors who are mostly retired machinists. Although I don't feel as though I am an expert machinist, I am a lot more knowledgeable and confident on precision manufacturing processes than I was coming into RIT.
